Carrier Compliance Specialist

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

A Carrier Compliance Specialist will be responsible for developing and strengthening carrier relations.  They will be using web services to monitor new and existing carriers to ensure they meet strict carrier qualification standards. This position will require auditing daily and weekly reports from web services that alert us of changes to carrier ratings caused by service failures or authority inactivity. Qualified candidate will assist the operations department in finding freight capacity for difficult lanes and recurring shipments.

 

Skills Required

  • Qualified candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills along with follow-up, and the “figure it out” mentality.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast paced unique environment.
  • Must be able to work with others along with working independently.
  • Must be detail-oriented and must meet scheduled deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task in completing and prioritizing scheduled activities along with random activities.
  • Ability to manage stress levels in a positive manner.
  • Punctuality and a good work ethic are critical.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) required.

 

Hours

Full-time salaried employee.  Must maintain regular attendance.  Schedule will be from 7:30-4:30 Monday through Friday.

Customer Relations Specialist

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
A Customer Relations Specialist will be responsible for prospecting new customers via internet, phone, referrals, and networking. They will be responsible for informing and educating potential customers on all logistics solutions that BTS has to offer.   Prospecting, engaging, and closing new accounts through daily contact with small to mid-size companies that you have worked to build relationships with. Qualified candidate will also work with our Freight Brokerage Team to provide a high quality of services to established and new customers.

 

Finding, qualifying, and closing potential customers to enhance the growth of BTS. Identify and develop sales opportunities through new and existing customer relationships. Identify new opportunities through analysis, understanding business, making contact with key decision makers, and determining the correct approach for each new customer. Work with team members on customer needs including pricing, good communication, implementation, growth potential and servicing of all customers.
